Industry's Collaborative Advantage

Tightening supplies, resource constraints, cost increases and more government regulation DEMAND re-tooling to sustain competitive advantage. In the near future - every company should be an energy company - or it might be out of business.

The 25inTENsity Challenge is a collaborative business framework allowing entire industry clusters to apply resources toward a unified energy reduction goal - sharing in the risk, enhanced purchase power, efficiency and energy savings potential.

Take the Challenge and see how industrial energy cost burden becomes an opportunity for innovation and growth.

In 2008, the Northwest Food Processors Association (NWFPA) set a member-wide energy intensity reduction goal of 25% in 10 years, and 50% in 20 years. Since then, the US DOE, Bonneville Power Administration and NEEA have worked with NWFPA to create and implement an Energy Roadmap that will guide industry activities for the next decade.

"Our commitment to the 25inTENsity Challenge helped us attract significant funding to offset our members' implementation costs, accelerating their ROI on energy saving initiatives."
-- Dave Zepponi, President, NWFPA
