Ken Baker is filling in for David Cohan while he is on loan to the Department of Energy. As Senior Manager of Codes and Standards, Ken is responsible for assisting the four states (Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington) in effective code development and implementation. His talented and knowledgeable staff perform regional and national level standards development for equipment and appliances.
Ken has a BA in Psychology from the University of Alaska, Master of Architecture from the University of Idaho and has worked in energy efficiency since 1982 and codes and standards since 1986. He has been a builder, a bureau chief and, for the past 13 years, an energy efficiency consultant. His greatest work passion is teaching.
He enjoys many outdoor activities including gardening, fishing, hunting, handgun competitions and hiking with his wife and pup. Lately, he has been restoring an old truck.
