NEEA Announces 2017 Board of Directors

Regional alliance for energy efficiency selects new leadership

Today the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), a non-profit alliance of utilities and energy efficiency organizations working to accelerate energy efficiency in the Northwest, announced that John Francisco, chief of energy resource at Inland Power and Light Company, will be its new board chair for 2017.

Francisco succeeds Bob Stolarski of Puget Sound Energy as chair. Ben Otto, Idaho Conservation League will serve as the public interest board representative, replacing Bob Jenks, Citizens’ Utility Board of Oregon (CUB) in that seat. Michael Colgrove, Energy Trust of Oregon also joins the board in 2017, succeeding Margie Harris who retired in 2016.

The full slate of 2017 officers are:

John Francisco, Inland Power and Light Company - Board Chair

Cory Scott, Pacific Power - Vice Chair

Kevin Christie, Avista Utilities - Secretary

Andrew Grassell, Chelan Public Utility District - Treasurer

Deb Young, NorthWestern Energy - At Large, Executive Committee

Bob Stolarski, Puget Sound Energy - Past-Chair, Executive Committee

“Here in the Northwest, we are able to draw upon the leadership of some of the foremost experts in energy efficiency,” said NEEA’s executive director, Susan E. Stratton. “We are fortunate to have their guidance to help shape the future of our alliance.”

NEEA's 18-member board consists of representatives from the Bonneville Power Administration, consumer- and investor-owned utilities and public interest and efficiency industry organizations. The board also includes a governor-appointed representative from each of the four Northwest states. NEEA's board meetings are open to the public. NEEA has scheduled 2017 board meetings on the following dates and locations:

Mar 7- Seattle, WA

June 8 - Portland, OR

Sept 14 - Butte, MT

Dec 5 - Portland, OR
