2019 Residential Lighting Market Analysis

This 2019 report, conducted by Apex Analytics with subcontractor DNV GL, presents results of the 15^th Northwest Residential Lighting Market Analysis. As in previous studies, store shelf and point-of-sale data was collected and analyzed to update market parameters including lamp sales mix and post-incentive per lamp cost.

Key findings of the 2019 study include:

• The market continued to shift toward LEDs, which made up 63% of all 2019 Northwest lamp sales;
• Post-incentive LED prices decreased very little from 2018, compared to past years’ steeper price decreases;
• The market share of ENERGY STAR® LEDs is declining and is particularly low for general purpose at 54%, likely because of comparatively longer lifetimes.
