The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is a non-profit organization that works to accelerate the innovation and adoption of energy-efficient products, services, and practices in the Pacific Northwest. In 2009, NEEA launched the Consumer Electronics Television Initiative (the Initiative) to increase the availability of energy efficient televisions. The Initiative provides retailers with financial incentives to encourage them to change their purchasing behavior to include a higher number of the most efficient televisions in their assortments and promotional point-of-purchase (POP) materials to help consumers identify efficient televisions.
