The U.S. DHP market differs significantly from overseas markets. Almost all residential HVAC systems in Asia and a vast majority of systems in Europe are ductless, while only a small percentage of homes in the U.S. utilize DHP technology. Slower U.S. adoption rates can be explained partly by cultural differences and partly by differences in home architecture--U.S. homes are generally designed with ducted systems in mind and allow for more livable space.
