The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (the Alliance) and MagnaDrive formed a public/private partnership to help commercialize the MagnaDrive adjustable speed drive (ASD), an innovative speed-control device that transmits torque through an air gap by using powerful permanent magnets.
