August 8, 2023 - Harvest Thermal presents a thermal battery system for heating and hot water utilizing the SANCO2 heat pump and a smart controller that manages the hot water tank as thermal energy storage. The system is designed to optimize energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and provide flexible load management. It supports both forced air and radiant floors and can integrate with a standard air-to-air heat pump to provide cooling and supplemental heat. Field pilot studies have been conducted with the California Energy Commission and Peninsula Clean Energy. More than 50 systems have also been deployed commercially in California to date, and performance results thus far will be presented. The solution is now available in the Pacific Northwest, in partnership with Small Planet Supply.
