On March 25, 2024, staff from the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) and study implementer Westat presented information on the Commercial Building Stock Assessment (CBSA) study’s sample design, virtual listing of buildings, recruiting approach, and the engineering firm selected to support the study.

Every five years NEEA conducts the CBSA on behalf of the region. The CBSA catalogues characteristics and equipment impacting energy use in commercial buildings in support of Northwest resource and energy efficiency planning.
