Over the past few years, improvements in CFL technology, manufacturing, and distribution have reduced or minimized several of these barriers. Smaller, more attractive CFLs have appeared on the market. In fact, some of the newest CFLs with lower wattage are virtually identical in shape and size to incandescent bulbs.
