Bostic Motors Power Badger
Commercial + Industrial|Products|Technology
Recorded 8/19/25 – Real World Energy Conservation by Controlling Resistive Heating Elements – New technology uses a recently patented method to thermostatically control resistive type heating elements, such as found in many high wattage (previously un-controlled) applications including: vehicle/equipment block heaters (commercial & residential); livestock water tank heaters; pipe heating tape and many other applications. It is a small (about the size of a brick) universal plug-and-play device, with no installation required, and it can be mounted to a fixed surface if desired (or required).
The Power Badger® is an established and active public utility measure with a multi-year proven track record of kWh savings, successfully implemented in residential, commercial/industrial and agricultural markets, with an average energy savings credit of 1540 kWh (per unit, per year) by several utilities. Average ratepayer savings of 6-7million kWh claimed by utilities (each year) over the last two years, just by implementing the Power Badger as an active measure. Multiple “White Papers” and independent studies are available to bolster the kWh savings claims of The Power Badger®.
Popular applications for this measure include:
- Residential ratepayers use The Power Badger on their diesel pickup trucks, generators and equipment at home.
- Commercial / Industrial / Municipalities: Diesel Fleet Vehicles; Package delivery, Garbage, Heavy Equipment.
- Agricultural: Tractors, Farm Equipment, Livestock Tank Heaters, Pipe Tape/Wrap, Pad Heaters
- School Systems: Bus Fleets
- Municipal / State / Federal / Government Agencies / Airports / Railways / Bus Fleets
- Military: Reduces Energy Usage at Fixed Bases and when Using Generators in Remote Areas
- General Aviation: Piston Engine Heaters / Pads / Battery Blankets
