Business + Strategic Goals
Working together to catalyze the most efficient use of energy in the Northwest.
The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is an alliance of more than 140 utilities and energy efficiency organizations working together to advance energy-efficient technologies and practices that reduce energy waste while promoting reliability, comfort and economic benefits for Northwest consumers and businesses.
Since 1996, NEEA has partnered with utilities, manufacturers, retailers, contractors and other regional stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient solutions through research, collaboration and Market Transformation.
NEEA’s work is guided by five-year business cycles that align regional priorities, support long-term investments and create lasting market change. Because Market Transformation takes time, NEEA works across the supply chain to address barriers, increase adoption and ensure energy-efficient products and practices become widely available and preferred in the marketplace.
NEEA is currently operating under its Cycle 7 Business Plan, which guides the organization’s work from 2025 through 2029.
Cycle 7 Strategic Goals:
Cycle 7 builds on three decades of Market Transformation success while addressing the evolving energy needs of the Northwest. NEEA’s four strategic goals are designed to support a more energy-efficient and resilient region. Together, they guide the organization’s investments, initiatives and partnerships through 2029.

Transform Markets for Energy Efficiency
Continue accelerating the adoption of energy-efficient technologies, products and practices that deliver long-term regional energy savings.

Accelerate Grid-Enabled Technologies
