NEEA’s Efficient RTU program aims to increase the efficiency of RTUs installed in the Northwest, to deliver efficiency and cost savings for natural gas customers.

Gas-fired packaged rooftop units, or RTUs, are particularly prevalent in low rise commercial buildings, and condition approximately 35% of gas-heated commercial floor area in the Northwest.
