Agricultural Irrigation Initiative: Data Exchange Standards

Lack of integration remains a key barrier to the use of precision agricultural technologies. Precision irrigation relies upon the capture and analysis of multiple sets of data from various sensors and databases. As a foundational element of its Agricultural Irrigation Initiative, the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) brought together industry stakeholders to develop an agreed-upon set of data exchange standards1 for the transmission of data necessary to develop, execute, and record a precision irrigation plan.
