This evaluation of NEEA’s Retail Product Portfolio (RPP) Initiative included an assessment of product-level strategies, a review of market and sales data underlying these strategies, and a review of baselines developed for each product.
Led by Apex Analytics, the research team developed chapters that included market characterization information, regulatory history, and status of Energy Star sales for each RPP product. For 2018/2019, these products included: refrigerators, freezers, laundry equipment, air cleaners, soundbars, room air conditioners, and televisions. The results of this work will inform on-going adaptation of product-level strategies, support evaluation of longer-term outcomes, and provide important context and baseline information for NEEA and other sponsors of the national Energy Star Retail Product Platform (ESRPP).
