Recorded on October 28, 2025 – As part of NEEA’s End-Use Load Flexibility work, NEEA contracted with Portland State University to test residential heat pump water heaters and determine how they respond when receiving CTA-2045-B signals. The results of this research uncover whether the water heaters meet the messaging requirements of CTA-2045-B and how the water heaters behave in response to the messaging to be impactful for utility programs.
