NEEA Q2 2019 Quarterly Report

Last quarter, the alliance continued its efforts to increase the availability of efficient consumer products for Northwest customers. Through its Retail Products Portfolio (RPP) program, the alliance works with five national retailers that collectively have over 300 store locations in the Northwest. These retailers represent up to 75 percent of the US market for several products in the portfolio.  In Q2, Whirlpool’s latest heat pump hybrid dryer became available to Northwest consumers for the first time resulting in a notable increase in sales of efficient dryers. The alliance has been influential in making the business case for efficient dryers to manufacturers and creating market support for the product.
