As part of its High-Performance HVAC program, the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) contracted with Cadmus Group for an independent review of the program’s approach to developing a naturally occurring baseline market share forecast for Very High Efficiency Dedicated Outside Air Systems (VHE DOAS).
For the study, Cadmus Group reviewed NEEA documents and calculations, and then provided feedback and recommendations on NEEA’s naturally occurring baseline market share forecast and other key modeling assumptions.
Cadmus completed the review March-April 2022 and provided several recommendations, including suggestions for additional data sources and minor revisions to calculations, such as converting units to reflect the unit of analysis. NEEA’s High-Performance HVAC team is using these and other study findings to update its forecasts and methodologies for tracking system adoption.
