Maya Cutforth joins NEEA staff as the new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program Manager. Maya will lead the alliance’s DEI Strategic Program aligning internal and external organizational efforts with strategic priorities. In her previous role as a Diversity & Inclusion Program Manager at M&T Bank, she led equitable process changes to staff performance reviews and promotions and applied a human-centered design approach to create a more welcoming and inclusive hiring experience. Her professional experience also includes being a DEI Content Associate for ParentPowered, an educational technology startup.

Maya’s expertise in leading DEI process changes will set the alliance on a path to delivering an equitable energy-efficient future.”

Maya holds a B.A. in American Studies, Africana Studies and Spanish from Cornell University. In her free time, she trains for marathons, is a certified group fitness instructor, and enjoys hiking in her home state of Colorado.
